JIM COOPER
Head Coach
Coach Cooper runs 5 Star Kicking in Berlin, NJ. His focus on training kickers includes one-on-one coaching and personal on-field video analysis that addresses both the mental and physical aspects of the game. Find out more about Coach's journey and philosophy below. ("Behind every KICK")

RYAN WINSLOW
Punting Coach
Ryan attended La Salle College High School in Philadelphia and was a 4-year starter at Pitt. He earned First-Team All-ACC honors in 2017.
Ryan signed with the Chicago Bears in 2018 and spent time with several NFL organizations, including the Arizona Cardinals and Carolina Panthers from 2018 - 2022.

ERIC BERNSTEIN
Assistant Kicking Coach
Eric grew up in Long Island, New York playing baseball and soccer. He started playing football his senior year of high school and went on to play at college -- Towson University for 2 years, followed by Rutgers University, where he sustained a back injury that forced him to take a year off and rehab. He is currently training as an NFL/UFL/CFL Free Agent looking to sign a contract while working as a Private Sports Performance Specialist.

JOE FORTUNATO
Longsnapper Coach
Joe played much of his career alongside Coach Cooper and his son. Joe was a talented quarterback but soon realized another talent: long-snapping. Joe was offered a walk-on opportunity with the Delaware Blue Hens. Former coach Dave Brock introduced Joe as the guy no one knew. (The only time the crowd knows the name of the long snapper is when he messes up!)
Joe worked out with both the Philadelphia Eagles and Indianapolis Colts.

Behind every KICK
Celebrating Years of Commitment to Kicking
A self-taught kicker who began his kicking career in the sixth grade, Coach Cooper kicked for four years at Mainland Regional HS. After setting virtually every kicking record at Mainland, he accepted a full scholarship to Temple University. A three-year starter, Coach Cooper kicked two of the greatest game-winning field goals in Temple's history to beat both the Pitt Panthers and the West Virginia Mountaineers for the first time in the history of Temple's football program.
Years later, Jim turned down an offer to tryout for the Oakland Raiders due to the impending birth of his daughter. After that, he played briefly with the Atlantic City Cardsharks of the National Indoor Football League. By age 41, and due to injury, Coach Cooper's pro career began and ended in only 3 weeks.
Which led to Jim's real passion – working with young kickers, punters, and long snappers. Coaching at his alma mater MRHS for 21 years alongside his friend Bob Coffey, Cooper consistently developed some of the finest kickers in South Jersey. The highlight of his 21+ year career was coaching his son Jim Cooper Jr, who broke almost every record set by Jim Sr.
